From Audi to VW, here is a recap of what these brands presented at the Auto Expo 2016, India's largest automobile show.
Audi:
Audi India launched the second generation 2016 Audi R8 at the show, while showcasing the new 2016 Audi A4, Audi SQ5, Audi S3 Cabriolet, Audi Prologue concept and the Audi A6 allroad quattro estate. Aside from these new models, the carmaker also had its entire lineup, from the A3 Sedan to the new Q7 on display.
BMW:
The Auto Expo 2016 saw BMW launch the 2016 BMW X1, the 2016 BMW 7 Series and the BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport edition. The recently-launched BMW 3 Series facelift with LED headlights was also displayed in addition to the M Performance models ranging from the M4 to the X6M.
Datsun:
The Nissan-owned brand showcased the Datsun Go-Cross concept and special editions on the Go and Go+ models.
Fiat:
Fiat showcased three new models at the Auto Expo: The Fiat Punto Pure which was launched, and the Fiat Avventura Urban Cross and the Fiat Linea 125s. The Urban Cross and the Linea 125s will be launched later this year.
Ford:
Ford's stall at the Auto Expo 2016 saw the showcase of the Mustang, which is scheduled to launch towards the second half of this year. Ford India's lineup from the Figo hatchback to the Endeavour SUV was also present.
Chevrolet:
Chevrolet India's highlight products were the Chevrolet Essentia compact sedan and the Chevrolet Activ crossover concept. Aside from this, the American car maker showcased the Spin MPV, Colorado pickup, Corvette and Camaro sportscars, 2016 Cruze (facelift), the Trailblazer and special editions on the Beat and Enjoy.
Honda:
Honda Cars India showcased the Honda BR-V and Honda Accord Hybrid, both of which are expected in the market this year. The Japanese car maker also displayed the Honda Jazz Racing Concept, Honda Project 2&4 concept a special edition on the Honda Jazz and an accessorized Honda City with black interior.
Hyundai:
Hyundai revealed its HND-14 Carlino sub-4 meter SUV concept at the show. The brand also showcased the Hyundai Tucson, Hyundai i30, Hyundai N 2025 Vision GT concept, Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Hyundai Genesis, and powertrain technologies (1L T-GDI Kappa, 1.4L T-GDI Kappa engines and the 7-speed DCT and FF 8-speed automatic transmission). The recently launched 2016 Hyundai i20, 2016 Hyundai Verna and Hyundai Creta were also displayed.
Isuzu:
Isuzu had its new D-Max at the Auto Expo 2016. The pickup was shown in varying configurations of single- and double-cab configurations.
Jaguar Land Rover:
The Jaguar XE was launched at the Auto Expo 2016. Other models from the Jaguar brand included the 2016 Jaguar XF and the Jaguar F-Pace SUV.
Jeep:
Jeep showcased the Grand Cherokee, the Grand Cherokee SRT and the Wrangler at the Auto Expo 2016. The models will go on sale towards mid-2016, the brand announced.
Mahindra:
Mahindra revealed its Mahindra XUV Aero concept at the Auto Expo 2016. Mahindra-REVA, the electric car maker showcased the e-Verito, e2o Sports and Supro Electric. Other noteworthy cars at the Mahindra stall included the Mahindra Thar Custom, Mahindra TUV300 Endurance edition, Mahindra KUV100 Xplorer edition, Mahindra Supro customized and Mahindra Imperio customized. The Mahindra Scorpio with the new 1.99L diesel engine was also on show. Finally, the Ssangyong Tivoli compact SUV was showcased.
Maruti:
The Maruti Vitara Brezza had its global unveil at the Auto Expo 2016. India's largest car maker also revealed the Maruti Baleno RS and the Maruti Ignis, which will be launched towards the festive season of this year, the company confirmed. Other models at the Maruti stall included the S-Cross limited edition, Maruti Swift Dzire AGS, Ertiga limited edition, Swift limited edition, Celerio Cross, and a customized Vitara Brezza.
Mercedes-Benz:
The three-pointed star unveiled the Mercedes GLC and the Mercedes S Class Cabriolet at the Auto Expo, confirming their launches for this year. Other showcases included the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard and the Mercedes G500 4×4².
Nissan:
The Nissan stall at the Auto Expo 2016 witnessed the showcases of the Nissan GT-R and the Nissan X-Trail Hybrid. Other models included the Nissan Sunny Sportech, the Nissan Terrano Special edition, Terrano T20 edition and the Micra Active T20 edition.
Renault:
Renault India showcased the Renault Duster facelift, Renault Kwid 1L, Kwid AMT and concept versions on the Kwid (Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber) at the Auto Expo. The Renault Lodgy World Edition and the Kwid with accessories were also displayed.
Tata Motors:
Tata Motors showcased the production version of the Nexon compact SUV, the Hexa crossover and the Tata Kite 5 compact sedan at the show. A personalized Tata Zica adventure themed version, Tata Hexa TUFF with 6-AT, Tata Bolt Sport, Tata Safari Storme TUFF and a personalized Tata Zest were also part of the display. Other showcases included the Tata Ace Mega XL and the Tata Magic Iris Ziva fuel-cell concept.
Toyota:
The Toyota Innova Crysta and the all-new Toyota Prius were part of the car maker's main exhibits. Other showcases included the Fortuner TRD Sportivo Platinium, Toyota Mirai and the 2016 Land Cruiser (facelift).
VW:
The VW stall at the Auto Expo 2016 saw the made-for-India VW Ameo compact sedan, the VW Polo GTI, the 2016 model year updates on the VW Vento, VW Polo and Cross Polo and the VW Beetle. The 2016 VW Tiguan and the VW Passat GTE were other exhibits at the show.
