Along with the Chevrolet Colorado pickup, its SUV version, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, is also put on display at the Auto Expo 2016. First unveiled in Thailand in March 2012, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is currently in its second generation and was launched in India in October last year. The Indian-spec Chevrolet Trailblazer is 4,878 mm long, 2,132 mm wide and 1,851 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,845 mm.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer is offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain layouts internationally, but only the former is available here. The 7-seat SUV is available only with a 2.8-litre Duramax diesel engine here. This unit produces 147 kW (200 hp) and 500 Nm of torque and sends power to the wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Internationally, a smaller 2.5-litre Duramax diesel engine that develops 120 kW (163 hp) and 380 Nm of torque as well as a bigger petrol-fueled 3.6-litre V6 engine that develops 277 hp and 357 Nm of torque are also offered. A 6-speed manual transmission is also available internationally.
Noteworthy features of the Chevrolet Trailblazer include projector headlights, powered driver's seat, 7-inch MyLink touchscreen media system with CD drive and USB, Bluetooth and Aux-in connectivity, automatic climate control and rear AC vents.
