Only 4-door SUV version will be sold.
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has been unveiled in India, with its launch set to take place in mid-2016. The off-road SUV, which will initially come via the CBU route, is 4,751 mm long, 1,877 mm wide and 1,840 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,947 mm. FCA India says that the Wrangler has 17-inch wheels and removable roof and door, making it one of a kind.
In India, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler will be powered by the 2.8L CRD Turbo Diesel DOHC I-4 engine connected to the wheels through a 5-speed automatic transmission, along with a petrol engine. It’s capable of tackling rough off-road terrain with the Command-Trac Shift-On-The-Fly 4WD, Hill Start Assist (HAS) and Electronic Roll Mitigation (ERM).
Features confirmed for the India-spec Jeep Wrangler Unlimited include a leather wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls for the touch-screen provided for entertainment and navigation, and an Alpine Premium Audio system.
