Tata Motors unveiled the Tata Ace Mega XL at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016. The small commercial vehicle further expands the popular Tata Ace range.
The Tata Ace Mega XL is powered by a 4 stroke, twin-cylinder direct injection, common rail, turbocharged, intercooled diesel engine. The 798 cc BS-IV compliant DICOR engine produces a maximum of 40.2 hp at 3,750 rpm and peak torque of 100 Nm between 1,700 and 2,000 rpm. The diesel engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox, to give it a top speed of 80 km/h.
At the front, the Ace Mega XL gets a leaf spring suspension setup with anti roll bar and at the rear is a regular leaf spring setup.
Measuring 4,075 mm in length and 1,594 mm in width, the load carrier gets a wheelbase of 2,250 mm. The flat load body measures 2,500 mm in length, 1,430 mm in width, and 300 mm in height and has a payload capacity of 1 ton.
The model on display had dual tone blue and black seats, and a bull bar attached up front.
