Confirmed with a 2.2L diesel engine.
Along with unveiling the production version of the Tata Hexa SUV, the company also showcased the Hexa TUFF personalised SUV at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016.
The Hexa TUFF is, the company claims, designed for "active lifestyle seekers" or offroad enthusiasts. The personalised version comes with a muscular body kit on the outside and 3D mats on the inside. An intelligent heads up display, tyre pressure monitoring system and navigation system. On the back is attached a cycle carrier as well, equipped to carry three cycles.
The Hexa TUFF is powered by the same 2.2-liter VARICOR 400 engine that produces 156 PS at 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 400 Nm between 1,700 and 2,700 rpm. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, while measuring 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. The SUV comes fitted with 19 inch tyres as standard. The show car features the 6-speed automatic transmission, but Tata has also confirmed a 6-speed manual gearbox for the SUV.
The Tata Hexa TUFF showcar did not feature the four driving modes seen on the standard Hexa however.
