Debuts Renault's 6-speed Easy-R AMT gearbox.
Renault India has unveiled the first major facelift for the Renault Duster at the Auto Expo 2016 in Noida today. It features a revised exterior design, upgraded interior, revised engine lineup and the option of a 6-speed Easy-R AMT gearbox.
Drawing cues from the Brazilian-spec Renault Duster, the facelifted model gets a new pair of headlamp clusters, power-folding and adjustable ORVMs, new foglamp design, 16-inch gun-metal alloy wheels, Kayak roof rails, waterfall LED taillamps, and the introduction of a new color - Cayenne Orange.
The interior of the Duster facelift features an updated center console design, which houses a new 7-inch MEDIANAV display, updated HVAC system, newer power window system with anti-pinch, rear view camera with guide lines, and a new fabric upholstery. Safety features in the top-end variants include ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual Airbags, ESP and Hill Start.
Under the hood, Renault claims to have improved the engine architecture and compartment for better refinement. It continues sourcing power from a 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine that produces 110 PS in the top-end variant. This variant also gets the exclusive option of a new 6-speed Easy-R AMT gearbox. Otherwise a 6-speed manual is offered as standard in the 110 PS variant.
