Mahindra's commercial vehicle arm today unveiled customized versions of the Mahindra Supro and Mahindra Imperio Double Cabin model at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016.
The Mahindra Supro showcased is different from the existing Supro solely in terms of cosmetics. The Supro seen here gets an all-black roof, blackened rear view mirrors and black roof rails. The passenger carrier also gets fresh five-spoke all-black alloy wheels fitted on tyres with black rims. The step leading to the van's interior has also been changed compared to the model on sale. At the back, the Supro now has a body coloured rear bumper.
On the inside, the entire dashboard is also in a single colour, as opposed to the black centre console found in the showroom model. The rest of the interior remains the same.
The Supro is powered by a 909 cc direct injection diesel engine that makes 45 hp at 3,750 rpm and produces peak torque of 98 Nm between 1,600 rpm and 3,000 rpm. A standard 5-speed MT gearbox is mated to this engine. Three versions are available. The ZX seats 5, the VX is available as both a 5-seater and an 8-seater, while the LX comes in an 8-seater version alone.
