Toyota Kirloskar Motor has put the Toyota Land Cruiser facelift on display at the Auto Expo 2016.
The current, eighth generation Toyota Land Cruiser was introduced in September 2007. The company has refreshed the SUV that's designed with "The King of Four-Wheel Drives" theme, with a major facelift last year.
On the outside, the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 features new LED headlamps, new three-bar grille with a metallic garnish which extends horizontally across the headlamps, new lower grille, new fog lamps and fog lamp housing, restyled bonnet, and new tail lamps with the rear license plate garnish extending across. Two new exterior colours have been added - Copper Brown and Dark Blue Mica.
The facelifted Toyota Land Cruiser comes with an array of new convenience features like heated steering wheel, LED Illuminated Entry System, Enhanced Multi Terrain Monitor Cameras and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System. Two new interior colours have been introduced - Brown and Flaxen.
While the international markets also get 5- and 8-seat seating configurations, in India, the Land Cruiser 200 is available with 7 seats. Under the bonnet, there's a 4.5-litre 1VD-FTV diesel engine that develops 195 kW (262 hp) and 650 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 continues being imported as a CBU from Japan, and is priced at INR 1,29,01,326 (ex-showroom Delhi).
