1.2L petrol and 1.05L diesel engines confirmed.
Tata Motors has unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016 the Tata KITE 5 compact sedan (codename). The carmaker says the Kite 5 is a "sporty compact sedan" for today's young generation.
The design and styling is not very distant from the Tata Zica hatchback, which will have its name changed prior to launch. The sub-4 metre sedan will be powered by a petrol or a diesel engine: the all-new 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque and a 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engine (Tata has not announced the diesel engine's power and torque outputs for the KITE 5). Both engines will get the Multi-Drive driving modes though (City and Eco driving modes).
The KITE 5 compact sedan measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,450 mm in wheelbase. It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and gets a 35 liter fuel tank. Tata has also announced that the KITE 5 compact sedan will ride on Independent lower McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and semi-independent twist beam with dual-path strut at the rear.
Among the list of features is a 5-inch entertainment system with an 8-speaker audio system and integrated navigation.
