The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, the high-performance variant of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, has been unveiled in India at the Auto Expo 2016.
The Grand Cherokee SRT is 4,846 mm long, 1,954 mm wide and 1,749 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,914 mm.
Exterior highlights include bi-xenon headlamps with black background and signature LED lighting, front modified bumper, LED multi-function daytime running lamps, distinctive lower grille with chrome inserts, body coloured sill extension, wheel flare extension, 20-inch black vapour chrome alloy wheels, tail lamps with signature LED lighting and black surround, and modified rear bumper.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is powered by 6.4-litre HEMI SRT naturally aspirated V8 petrol engine that pushes out 461 bhp and 624 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission and distributed between them through Quadra-trac active on demand all-wheel drive system. The Grand Cherokee SRT can hit 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5 seconds flat and go further to hit a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h). Performance features include active damping and performance-tuned suspension and performance-tuned steering.
Noteworthy interior features of the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT include 7-inch digital instrument cluster, sports leather-wrapped steering wheels, sports Nappa leather trimmed seats, chrome pedals, and Uconnect infotainment system with 8.4-inch display.
