BMW India showcased the next product to receive an M Sport variant at the Auto Expo 2016 - the BMW X5. Priced from INR 75,90,000 (ex-showroom), the BMW X5 xDrive30d M Sport bridges the gap between the regular X5 and the more-powerful BMW X5 M, with respect to exterior and interior styling.
The exterior is fitted with the M Aerodynamic Package, and is available in a choice of three exclusive exterior colours. Other salient features include M light alloy wheels, BMW Individual High-Gloss Shadow Line, M-specific vehicle key and Tailpipe cover with high gloss chrome covering.
Inside, it replaces the regular 3-spoke steering wheel for an M leather unit, and features an Head-up Display, comfort seats for driver and BMW Individual roofliner anthracite. It carries over equipment from the regular X5, such as BMW iDrive with touch controller, BMW Navigation Professional with a 10.2 inch colour display, and a 16 speaker 600 Watts Harman Kardon system.
Under the hood is a 3.0-liter TwinPower six-cylinder diesel engine delivering 258 hp and 560 Nm of torque. It is paired to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox with steering mounted paddles, and comes standard with BMW's xDrive AWD system. The X5 xDrive30d M Sport is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/hr in 6.9 seconds, before reaching a limited top-speed of 230 km/hr.
