Isuzu Motor India also unveiled three commercial vehicle variants of the Isuzu D-Max. At the ongoing Auto Expo 2016, the new models included the Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x2, the Single Cab 4x4, and the Crew Cab 4x2. While the company has said that the Crew Cab 4x2 will cost between INR 8.5 and INR 9.5 lakhs, prices of the Single Cab variants will be announced later.
Apart from being available in 4x4 and 4x2 setups, the commercial variants of the D-Max will be available in High Ride/Normal Ride modes and flat deck/arch-deck load bodies.
Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x2
The Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x2 is powered by the same 2,499 cc four-cylinder engine that powers the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The diesel engine produces 134 hp at 3,600 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The vehicle gets tilt-adjustable steering, shoulder-height adjustable front head rests, disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
The Single Cab 4x2 measures 5,045 mm in length, 1,775 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,095 mm.
Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x4
The Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x4 variant, apart from maintaining the same features of the above mentioned Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4x2, gets a shift-on-the-fly 4x4 switch.
It retains the same double wishbone and coil spring setup at the front and regular leaf spring suspension at the rear.
Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab 4x2
The Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab 4x2 gets a 4-cylinder turbo intercooled diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 2,499 cc engine produces 78 hp at 3,800 rpm and 176 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 and 2,400 rpm.
Front and rear power windows, 6-way adjustable driver seat, a 60:40 rear split seats can be found on the inside.
