Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×2, Single Cab 4×4, Crew Cab 4×2 – Auto Expo 2016

Isuzu Motor India also unveiled three commercial vehicle variants of the Isuzu D-Max. At the ongoing Auto Expo 2016, the new models included the Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×2, the Single Cab 4×4, and the Crew Cab 4×2. While the company has said that the Crew Cab 4×2 will cost between INR 8.5 and INR 9.5 lakhs, prices of the Single Cab variants will be announced later.

Apart from being available in 4×4 and 4×2 setups, the commercial variants of the D-Max will be available in High Ride/Normal Ride modes and flat deck/arch-deck load bodies.

Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×2

The Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×2 is powered by the same 2,499 cc four-cylinder engine that powers the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. The diesel engine produces 134 hp at 3,600 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm between 1,800 and 2,800 rpm. It is mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

The vehicle gets tilt-adjustable steering, shoulder-height adjustable front head rests, disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

The Single Cab 4×2 measures 5,045 mm in length, 1,775 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,095 mm.

Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×4

The Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×4 variant, apart from maintaining the same features of the above mentioned Isuzu D-Max Single Cab 4×2, gets a shift-on-the-fly 4×4 switch.

It retains the same double wishbone and coil spring setup at the front and regular leaf spring suspension at the rear.

Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab 4×2

The Isuzu D-Max Crew Cab 4×2 gets a 4-cylinder turbo intercooled diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The 2,499 cc engine produces 78 hp at 3,800 rpm and 176 Nm of peak torque between 1,800 and 2,400 rpm.

Front and rear power windows, 6-way adjustable driver seat, a 60:40 rear split seats can be found on the inside.
