Gets dual airbags as standard, 6 airbags optional.
Hyundai is showcasing the 2016 Hyundai Verna at the Auto Expo 2016. As part of the 2016 MY update, the new Verna comes with dual airbags and ABS as standard, while six airbags are optional.
Another new introduction for the 2016 Hyundai Verna is the 7-inch infotainment touchscreen system sourced from the 2016 Hyundai i20 and i20 Active, as well as a shark fin antenna.
Otherwise, there are no changes to the 2015 MY model, which introduced a facelift to the exterior. Top-end variant gets headlights with projectors, dual-slat chrome grille, a redesigned front bumper with new foglights, and LED effect for the taillights.
The sedan is offered with a range of four engine options - 1.4-liter petrol and diesel, and 1.6-liter petrol and diesel. The petrol units are paired to 5-speed transmissions while the diesels get a 6-speed manual. The 1.6-liter petrol and diesel are optionally available with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engines include 1.4-liter and 1.6-liter diesel units.
The Verna offers a standard warranty of 3 Year/unlimited Km, which the company claims is a first in segment. The 2016 Verna range is priced from INR 761,875 to INR 1,268,376 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
