The TVS Akula 310 was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
A report on Car and Bike reveals that the production version of the TVS Akula 310 will be launched in July 2017. The bike uses the same powertrain as the BMW G310R which will be launched at a later date in India.
The TVS Akula 310’s production version may be called TVS Apache RTR 300. The powertrain displaces 313 cc and is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. On the Beemer, the single cylinder engine is capable of producing 34 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. The production TVS Akula 310 may have the same output.
While the concept model from the Auto Show had several premium parts which are not seen even on litre-class flagships, the production motorcycle will have several eye-catching features. The bike also gets twin headlamps (possibly projectors), upside down front forks and a 'devil horn' shaped taillamp.

The TVS Akula 310 or the TVS Apache RTR 300 will be TVS Motor’s first fully faired motorcycle. The bike will be competing against the KTM RC200 but unlike the Austrian motorcycle, the TVS will be building on the idea of usable power. A healthy mid-range will be a boon for city riding.
With the Indian launch happening in July, the Indonesian launch may be pushed back too. The production version of the TVS Akula 310 is expected to be priced competitively.
