Expected to launch towards the end of this year.
As per a report, the TVS Akula concept, showcased at the Auto Expo 2016, will be christened TVS Apache RTR 300. The report further states that the new Apache RTR 300 will enter the market later this year or by early-2017. The first fully-faired motorcycle by TVS will be based on the BMW G310R and would sit at the top of company’s product portfolio.
The Akula 310 showcased at the Auto Expo was seen with a carbon fibre body. However, this will not be forwarded to the production spec model in order to cut costs. The taller windshield, upside down forks, rear monoshock, split seats, fully digital instrumentation and aggressive body styling would be main USPs of the bike once it hits production.
Besides, front and rear disc brakes with two-channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and high-performance tyres, possibly Pirelli-made will come standard on the upcoming flagship Apache.
