Debuts internationally later this year.
The current, second generation Ford EcoSport first went on sale in Brazil in 2012 and is due for a mid-life facelift this year. Ahead of its expected Brazilian debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show in November, test mules of the facelifted Ford EcoSport have been spied testing by in the South American country by Autos Segredos reader Sergio Barolo.
As seen in recent renderings, the 2017 Ford EcoSport (facelift) features a two-slat grille similar to that of the Ford Edge. The headlight cluster, as seen in previous spy shots, will be inspired by that of the 2016 Ford Endeavour's. Unlike the European version, the spare wheel will continue being externally mounted in emerging markets.
Along with the exterior, the interior will be updated with considerable improvements. Changes include a new instrument panel and HVAC control knobs, and a new full colour display for the Ford SYNC infotainment system. The steering wheel and the upper centre console layout remain unchanged. However, more changes may be made before the facelifted model debuts.

The engine options will likely remain unchanged on the facelift. In India, three engines are offered: 123 hp 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol, 110 hp 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol and the 99 hp 1.5-litre TDCi diesel.
