Mahindra has introduced a new variant on the new Scorpio. The Mahindra Scorpio S4+ as it is called is available with 2WD and 4WD, and is priced at INR 9.7 lakhs and INR 10.83 lakhs respectively, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
Compared to the S4 and even the S6 variant, the S4+ gets dual front airbags and ABS with EBD. In comparison to the S4, Mahindra has also equipped with the S4+ with panic brake indication, auto door lock, power window controls on the door trims and follow-me home headlights.
The S4+, like the majority of Scorpio variants, receives power from a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing 120 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1,800-2,800 rpm. For now, all variants of the Scorpio are offered with a 5-speed manual transmission, but an automatic variant has been caught on tests.
In comparison to the S4, the S4+ 2WD is INR 41,000 more expensive, while it is INR 78,000 cheaper than the S6 which is devoid of airbags, ABS and EBD.

With the launch of the S4+, the new Scorpio's range now stands as follows: S2 (only with 2.5L engine), S4, S4+, S4+ AWD, S6, S6+, S8, S10 and S10 AWD.
