Launch confirmed for July 21, 2015.
A reader of Motoroids has snapped these revealing images of the Hyundai Creta compact SUV, sans camouflage. As can be seen, the Creta is a lookalike of the Hyundai ix25 sold in China, save for minor differences.
The rear registration plate enclosure of the Creta gets a chrome applique, and the Creta seen here appears to get Silver-colored wind deflectors, which could be an aftermarket fitment. Also, the 'SX' badge on the bootlid gives this particular Creta away as a top-end model, hence the projector headlights, foglights, alloy wheels, wing mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a rear wiper washer. However, there could be another variant above this model with chrome-plated door handles and larger, diamond-cut alloy wheels.
For the Indian market, the Creta is reported to get its power from 1.4- and 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engines and a 1.6-liter VTVT petrol engine, paired to manual and automatic transmissions. However, its still a huge question mark if Hyundai decides to offer a 4WD system for the compact SUV.

According to reports, the Creta has already entered production at the Chennai plant of the Korean car maker, and a launch has been confirmed for July 21, 2015. The Creta will rival the forthcoming Maruti S-Cross, the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and top-end variants of the Ford EcoSport on price.
