Recent spottings of camouflaged test mules of the Ford Figo facelift signal the introduction of a new cross variant. The Ford Figo Cross aka Ford Figo Active will arrive with the updated model next year. IAB's automotive illustrator has created a 2018 Ford Figo Cross render to give us a glimpse of the upcoming car.
As part of the company's latest design theme aimed at a more fluid and transitional appearance, the Figo gains a new face with sleeker headlamps and a wider hexagonal grille. Dark cladding flowing from the front bumper lip, through the wheel arches and side profile to the rear along with roof bars add to the crossover type look.
The current Figo is offered in a mild crossover form in Brazil where it is sold as the Ford Ka Trail. Following in its footsteps, the 2018 Ford Figo Cross could have a raised suspension profile. It will ride on bigger 15-inch split spoke alloy wheels. Spy pictures also reveal dark element for the license plate area and dark tinted lenses for the turn indicator and reverse lamp area. Interior changes are unknown as of now, but expect Ford to offer the SYNC 3 system at least optionally on the 2018 Figo.
The Ford Figo facelift is expected by mid-2018 sporting the new 1.2 L three-cylinder petrol engine from the Dragon series.
