The TVS Akula 310 was showcased first at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The TVS Akula 310 has been rendered as an off-road centric machine. Designed by Oberdan Bezzi, the TVS Apache 310 SCR concept bears a raised front fender, with off-road centric tyres. The tail section is a far cry from the sharp devil horn-shaped tail lamp the test unit has been spied with.
The powertrain is the same 313 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled mill which does duty in the BMW G310R. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox the engine in the naked roadster is capable of producing 34 bhp of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm. TVS though may or may not detune the engine for Indian application.
The TVS Apache 310 SCR concept rendering bears upside down forks up front and a monoshock suspension in the rear. The stubby off-road centric tyres have a go anywhere look. The hefty ground clearance too will add to the bike’s capabilities. The spoked wheels complete the off-road focused look.
TVS, however, has not officially confirmed the TVS Apache 310 SCR concept.
