The BMW G 310R is reported to launch in around March-April 2017. The bike will carry a premium price tag despite not being as well equipped as the new 2017 KTM Duke 390. The G 310R gets dual channel ABS as standard, a feature which is present in all BMW motorcycles since 2013.
The design can be traced back to BMW Motorrad’s flagship naked roadster, the mighty S1000R. The single cylinder 313 cc engine has an unusual tilt of the cylinder to the rear, and the cylinder head that has been rotated 180° lowers the centre of gravity and shifts it in the direction of the front wheel. The company claims that this makes the BMW G 310 R more agile and easier to control.

The engine is coupled to a 6 speed gearbox and is capable of producing 34 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 rpm.
The BMW G 310R is priced at GBP 4,290 in the UK, while an Indian sticker price can be expected to hover at around INR 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).
