To be the most affordable passenger car by the company.
The Mahindra S101 has been snapped yet again, revealing production-spec body panels and parts.
The model that could be named the Mahindra XUV100, is expected to be introduced by the company in the third week of January 2016. It will be the second product by the company to be built on a monocoque platform after the Mahindra XUV500. The platform has been newly developed and is reported to spawn more models in the coming years.
The S101 will belong to the compact segment and will rival small cars like the Maruti Wagon R, the Chevrolet Beat and the like. It is expected to be priced between INR 4-7 lakhs, and could be offered with dual airbags and ABS with EBD in all variants. Previous spyshots have suggested that it will be introduced as a 5+1-seater and that an AMT variant will be offered alongside a manual gearbox.
