The motorcycle comes with an optional ergo fitment feature which includes adjustable foot pegs, handle and seat. This package helps in customising the riding position as per the customer’s needs. The Kawasaki Vulcan S draws power from a 649 cc parallel twin DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It produces 61 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm. The engine mates with a 6-speed transmission. Kawasaki Ninja 650 uses the same engine as well, but is slightly more powerful.
The Kawasaki Vulcan S rides on 41 mm telescopic front fork, and an offset monoshock with linkage and adjustable preload. For braking, a 300 mm front and 250 mm rear disc with dual channel ABS is standard. Its primary competitor in the segment is the Harley-Davidson Street 750, and the upcoming Royal Enfield 650 Twins. Kawasaki will officially unveil the bike in the country at the 2018 Auto Expo next month.
