India Kawasaki Motors recently launched the Kawasaki Vulcan S in the country at an ex-showroom price of INR 5.44 lakhs. Anzen Kawasaki, an authorised dealership received the first bike in the country, and here’s a walkaround of the cruiser.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S features an analogue-digital combo cluster, and a tank-mounted key slot. The motorcycle comes with an optional ergo fitment feature which includes adjustable foot pegs, handle and seat. This package helps in customising the riding position as per the customer’s needs. The rear features a pair of large grab rails. The oversized saree guard covers the swingarm and the rear wheel.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S draws power from a 649 cc parallel twin DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It produces 61 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 6,600 rpm. The engine works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission. Kawasaki Ninja 650 uses the same engine as well, but is slightly more powerful.
Suspension bits include 41 mm telescopic front fork, and an offset monoshock with linkage and adjustable preload. For braking, a 300 mm front and 250 mm rear disc with dual channel ABS is standard. The fuel tank can hold 14 litres of juice, and the motorcycle weighs 235 kg, kerb. The primary competitor of the Vulcan S is the Harley-Davidson Street 750.
