The Kawasaki Vulcan S comes with an optional ergo fitment feature which includes adjustable foot pegs, handle and seat. Powering the Vulcan S is a 649 cc parallel twin DOHC mill with liquid cooling and fuel injection. The engine does duty in the Kawasaki Ninja 650 as well. In the Vulcan, it generates 61 PS at 7,500 rpm and 63 Nm at 6,600 rpm. The Vulcan makes 7 PS and 2.7 Nm less than the Ninja 650. A 6-speed gearbox handles the transmission duty.
The cruiser employs 41 mm telescopic front fork, and an offset monoshock with linkage and adjustable preload. Brakes include 300 mm front and 250 mm rear disc with dual channel ABS as standard. The Kawasaki Vulcan S goes head-to-head with the Harley-Davidson Street 750. In a bid to improve its presence, Kawasaki has also planned to open ten new dealerships in the country.
