Expected to be more feature packed than the Elite i20.
According to a report on Overdrive, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) will launch the Elite i20 based crossover on March 9. The car will mark HMIL's entry into the crossover space which is composed of the likes of the Toyota Etios Cross, Fiat Avventura and VW Cross Polo.
The Elite i20 Cross is expected to come with added features compared to the Elite i20. Test mules spotted near the company's Chennai facility show projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, different alloy wheels, roof rails, an increased ground clearance, skid guards and body cladding.
According to reports, there could be small changes to the interior of the car as well. What will not change will be the 1.2-liter petrol engine and the 1.4-liter diesel engine, which are available on the Elite i20. The diesel unit comes with a 6-speed manual transmission while the petrol makes do with a 5-speed unit.

Prior to the launch of the Elite i20 Cross, HMIL will launch the refreshed Verna next month (February 16 reportedly). The Korean car maker also plans on launching the ix25 compact SUV in the festive season period (September-November) of this year.
