Hyundai's Cross Polo rival set to launch in Q1 2015.
Hyundai's beefed up version of the Elite i20 has been spotted testing again in the outskirts of Chennai. Reports suggest that the Korean car maker will reveal the i20 Cross in the first quarter of 2015.
The latest spyshots reveal what looks like a lower variant of the i20 Cross undergoing road tests, judging by the smaller alloy rims and the lack of mirror mounted turn indicators. What is apparent, of course, is the raised ride height, extra body cladding and the silver roof rails, not to mention what seems like a new body color.
Under the hood, the Hyundai i20 Cross will be offered with the Elite i20's engine lineup, which includes a 88.7 bhp 1.4-liter U2 diesel engine and a 82 bhp 1.2-liter VTVT petrol motor. The diesel gets a 6MT while the petrol makes do with a 5MT.
