Tipo hatchback and Tipo Estate debut this year.
Fiat will introduce two new versions of the Fiat Tipo (Fiat Egea) saloon this year, an estate and a hatchback, both said to be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. While the estate version has not been spotted testing, the Tipo hatchback has been doing the rounds for the past few months and should most certainly debut at the show.
In the latest, an Autoblog.it reader has spotted the Fiat Tipo Hatchback test mule in production body parked ahead of the Fiat Tipo saloon.
The hatchback version will likely come only in the 5-door style and unlike the saloon version and will be sold in the UK to take on C-Segment hatches Seat Leon, Vauxhall Astra and the Ford Focus. Like the saloon, it will also come with well-covered comfort and convenience features like Fiat Uconnect infotainment system with 5-inch colour touchscreen display, steering-mounted controls and automatic climate control.

The Fiat Tipo Hatchback is expected to be offered with 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol engines and 1.3- and 1.6-litre diesel engines in the UK. These will probably be the 95 hp 1.4 16v Fire and 110 hp 1.6 1.6v E.torQ petrol, and the 95 hp 1.3 MultiJet II and 120 hp 1.6 MultiJet II diesel units that operate on the saloon. The Fiat Tipo Hatchback will be produced by TOFAS at the Bursa plant in Turkey, alongside the Fiat Tipo saloon and Fiat Tipo Estate, and should go on sale in Europe in mid-2016.
