PT Ford Motor Indonesia (FMI) has showcased the 2015 Ford Focus hatch at IIMS 2015 (Indonesia International Motor Show 2015) which began today.
The model showcased, launched last year globally, features subtle revisions to the exterior like smoked headlights, new grille, bumpers and tail lights. The top-spec variants get LED DRLs as well.
Features such as 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with Ford SYNC 2 system, a reverse camera and satellite navigation enrich the interior. Top-end trims, in the international markets, get blind-spot monitor, low-speed autonomous brakes and perpendicular parking assist.
Internationally, the 2015 Focus received the 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbo-petrol engine producing figures of 177 bhp at 6,000 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm between 1600-5000 rpm. Putting power to the road will be either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
There are reports from Indonesia which claim that the Focus will come with a 2.0-liter engine combining Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) technology and Ti-VCT (Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing) for a total output of around 170 bhp paired to a 6-speed PowerShift dual-clutch transmission.
Further information is awaited.
