Is reported to replace the Fiat Bravo hatchback.
The Fiat Tipo hatchback is reported to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which will take place in March 2016. The hatchback is reported to replace the aging Fiat Bravo, and WalkoART has videotaped a test mule up close.
From the clip it seems pretty clear that the front end is lifted from the sedan model. The rear half of the Tipo is where it starts getting distinctive, featuring a tailgate, wraparound tail light design, and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
The interior is largely identical to the Tipo sedan, featuring a contemporary layout with the twin-pod instrument cluster, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system and chrome accents.
The 2016 Fiat Tipo hatchback will be powered by a choice between four engines: two petrol and two diesel engines. The petrol engines are the 1.4-litre Multiair and 1.6-litre E-Torq units while the diesel engines are the 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre MultiJet II units. These will be coupled to either a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmissions.
All variants of the Fiat Tipo (sedan, hatchback and station wagon) will be produced at the TOFAS plant in Bursa, Turkey which will then be exported to 40 MEA and European markets.
