The new gen Seat Leon Curpa has been launched in Russia at the ongoing 2014 Moscow International Auto Salon (2014 Moscow Motor Show) at a starting price of 1,283,274 rubles (around INR 21.40 lakhs).
The Seat Leon Cupra which sits on VW's MQB platform (same as the Audi A3 and VW Golf Mk7) is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol motor which is available with a 6-speed manual or a DSG automatic transmission (with paddle shifters).
The four-cylinder motor develops a healthy 265 PS and 350 Nm of torque. The manual variant of the hot hatchback accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds while the DSG variant achieves the feat 0.1 second quicker. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Inside, the car gets a full black dashboard with a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The seats are upholstered in black leather with white inserts.
The new Leon Cupra is equipped with Dynamic Chassis Control, front axle differential lock, variable ratio steering wheel and Cupra Drive Profile (Comfort, Sport and Cupra drive modes).
