Expected to make debut in production form at 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The next generation Maruti Swift has been spotted testing in Italy. Reports suggest that Suzuki would unveil the next generation Swift at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.
The exterior of the Maruti Swift will be an evolutionary step forward, as revealed in leaked images. The exterior styling will be influenced by the liquid flow design lines of the Maruti Baleno. It will be based on the Baleno‘s highly rigid and lightweight platform, which should improve the Swift's fuel economy, crash protection levels and performance.
Inside, the 2017 Swift will feature an all new design that combines a sportier instrument cluster with a new multi-info display, new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a touchscreen SmartPlay system and automatic climate control with integrated digital display, all of which will be offered in the top-end grade.

As of now, details on the engine lineup of the next generation Maruti Swift are scarce. It could continue with the 1.2 four cylinder K-Series petrol engine, albeit with certain refinements, while the diesel variant could get a brand new diesel engine developed by Maruti (Suzuki). A 1.0L Boosterjet engine may also be in the cards for a sportier variant of the next Swift, aside from the Swift Sport.
