India-made Suzuki Baleno 1.2 SHVS, Suzuki Baleno 1.0 Boosterjet – Geneva Motor Show Live

Following its Indian launch in October last year, the India-made 2016 Suzuki Baleno reached Japan last month. After its 2016 Geneva Motor Show presence, the car will be launched in Europe in Spring this year.

Based on a rigid, lightweight new generation platform, the 2016 Suzuki Baleno will be positioned above the Suzuki Swift. The UK launch is scheduled for June 2016.

The all-new Suzuki Baleno, manufactured by Maruti, measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width and 1,470 mm* in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,520 mm. It will be available with the 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 110 hp and 170 Nm of torque, as well as the 1.2-litre DUALJET naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine with the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) featuring engine assist by an integrated starter generator.

Exterior highlights include HID headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, 16-inch alloy wheels and roof spoiler. Comfort and convenience features include adaptive cruise control system, heated seat, Smartphone Linkage Display Audio infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink smartphone integration compatibility and reversing camera. Safety and security features include Radar Brake Support, ESP and 6 SRS airbags.
