Mechanical changes are not expected.
A camouflaged Mahindra Genio has been snapped on test by Tech'N Wheelz, which appears to be the 2016 model. The revised version of the Xylo-based pickup is expected to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year.
The 2016 Mahindra Genio seems to have redesigned headlamps, a revised front bumper, new air intakes, the company's signature grille design and a new bonnet, while the side profile appears to be unaltered. Mahindra Australia’s marketing manager, James Halliwell, told Car Advice Australia that the upcoming Mahindra Genio facelift will be “pleasing to the eye”, which suggests a detailed makeover of the exterior and the interior. The cabin of the facelifted version is expected to host more premium trims and materials.

The new Genio would be powered by the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder mDI CRDe diesel engine that produces 75 bhp of maximum power and 220 Nm of peak torque, and the same five-speed manual transmission.
