Will launch in India in the coming weeks.
Seen here are the first images of the Mahindra Genio facelift, which is expected to launch in India in the coming weeks.
The Genio is Mahindra's pickup based on the Xylo, and while the pre-facelift model borrowed its front-end design from the MPV, the facelifted Genio looks unlike any Mahindra sold. The gawky headlights are traded for sleeker units, while the design of the front bumper with its integrated circular foglights give the Genio a passenger vehicle appearance.
According to reports, the front fascia of the Genio facelift will inspire the look of the Quanto facelift and the Xylo facelift. Mahindra officials had stated in earlier interviews that the Quanto facelift will appear more SUV-like, while one executive of Mahindra Australia said that the Genio facelift will be "pleasing to the eye".
While spyshots of the interior are unavailable, reports state that the pickup will be more car-like on the inside.
In the Indian market, the Genio is powered by the 2.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine capable of 75 bhp and 220 Nm of torque, whereas for export markets, the pickup gets the modern 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine delivering 120 bhp and 280 Nm of torque.

Markets abroad also receive a 4x4 variant of the Genio, whereas in India, Mahindra sells the pickup with 2WD only.
