Extra features, same mechanicals.
Suzuki has launched a special edition of its Swift hatchback in the German market, called Swift X-TRA. This version gets extra goodies, while prices for the same start at 15,490 Euros (INR 11.08 lakh, approx.).
Mechanically, it's the standard Swift, powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 94 hp at 6,000 rpm and 118 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm. The X-TRA version gets a chrome grille up front, 16-inch alloy wheels, and 'X-Tra' branding on the sides. On the inside, there's the inclusion of heated front seats, a sport steering wheel, and contrast stitching for the seats. It will be available in three colour choices: Amethyst Grey Pearl Metallic, Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic, and Cool White Pearl Metallic.
It's not the first time, Suzuki has launched an X-TRA version of the Swift in the German market. Back in 2013, the special edition (with the same name) was launched with similar set of updates, inclusion of new colour choices, and was, mechanically unchanged.

In India, where special editions are limited to added stickers and black painted hubcaps, the Swift was updated in October last year, with a new-look bumper, new 12-spoke alloys (available on the top-spec trim) among other small updates, and a 10 percent increase in fuel economy.
