Suzuki Germany has launched a special edition Swift X-TRA in a bid to draw more attention from the small car buyers.
The Suzuki Swift has been a great success for the Japanese car maker whose forte is small cars. The global supermini is the best selling car in its segment in India and it puts up a good show in Europe as well.
The Swift X-TRA special edition gets a new catchy Bison Brown Metallic exterior paint option. Apart from it, the car sits on 16" alloy wheels, roof spoiler and tinted windows.
On the inside, the special edition Swift gets seven airbags, air conditioning with pollen filter and an MP3 music system with USB connectivity and steering mounted controls.
There are no mechanical changes done and that means the Swift gets its power from the 1.2 litre petrol engine. However unlike the Indian version of the engine which puts out 87 PS, the German version develops 94PS, perhaps due to the difference in the fuel quality or calibration. The rated fuel economy stands at 20 kpl.
The Suzuki Swift X-TRA special edition is priced at €14,290 (around Rs. 10.27 lakhs) in Germany and is available only in the 5-door avatar.
We think that the new Bison Brown color option looks cool on the Swift. Maruti, are you getting ideas?
