Could be revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Here's another rendering of the Maruti YBA - the codename for the sub-4 meter SUV expected to launch early next year. Maruti has already started testing prototypes of this vehicle in India, and early spyshots have revealed a few details.
The design of the rear doors and C-Pillar for example seem inspired by the Suzuki iv-4 concept crossover which was showcased first at the Frankfurt Motor Show of 2013. The iv-4 concept however has spawned into the Vitara crossover, which goes on sale in European markets early this year.
Reports have indicated that the YBA will be based on the capable Swift's platform. While its needless to say that the YBA will offer petrol and diesel engines, a more powerful (in comparison to the 1.3L Fiat MultiJet engine) 1.5-liter unit could be seen powering the diesel variants.

The YBA will mark Maruti's entry in the sub-4m SUV segment. Prior to that, the company plans on launching the SX4 S-Cross this year, which will be positioned in the segment above, competing with cars like the Renault Duster and Mahindra Scorpio.
Competitors: Tata Nexon, Mahindra S101, VW Taigun, Ford EcoSport
