Gets a tweaked semi-fairing.
The Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 is getting ready to be launched towards the end of this month and Motoring World has uploaded some leaked images of the new gen semi-faired motorcycle.
In terms of styling, the Fazer still is the faired version of the FZ. The reworked fairing extends further down and the dual headlamp elements now have kinks at the bottom.
The rest of the bike stays true to the FZ FI V2.0 series, featuring split seats, new silencer, redesigned instrument console, a tyre-hugging rear splatter guard and a new rear license plate holder. The Fazer FI V2.0 is expected to be available in three color themes - White Cloud, Black Hawk and Red Dawn.
Mechanically, the Fazer FI V2.0 will borrow the slightly downsized 149 cc (the current bike uses a 153 cc carbureted unit) air-cooled fuel-injected engine from the FZ F1 V2.0 series. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine puts out 13.1 PS (12.9 bhp) and 12.8 Nm of torque which are lower than the current bike's figures of 14 PS (13.8 bhp) and 13.6 Nm.

However, Yamaha claims an improved performance due to the fuel injection technology and reduction of weight (about 3 kg for the FZ FI V2.0).
