TVS Motor Company has registered a growth of 27% in March, with a tally of 326,659 units as opposed to 256,341 units in the same month the previous year.
When it comes to total two-wheelers, the Hosur-based manufacturer sold 315,765 units in March 2018, recording a growth of 25.8%. Among them, 265,166 units were sold in the domestic market, up by 22.2% in the same month last year. The brand’s motorcycle sales went up by a massive 40.5% in March, with a tally of 134,412 units last month. The numbers for scooters stand at 100,972 units, up by 20%. The brand also showed positive growth in its two-wheeler export business. It grew by 48.9% from 33,984 units in March 2017 to 50,599 units in March 2018.

During the entire financial year 2017-18, two-wheeler sales of the Company grew by 17.8% increasing from 28.58 lakh units registered in the financial year 2016-17 to 33.67 lakh units in the year under review. In the second half of the previous fiscal, brand launched a slew of products starting with the flagship Apache RR 310 to multiple models in the Apache RTR range. The brand also launched India’s first Bluetooth-enabled scooter, the Ntorq in February.

The brand also showcased its first cruiser concept, the Zeppelin at the Auto Expo in February, this year. Apart from the cruiser, TVS showcased the Creon concept and the RTR 200 Fi Ethanol compatible version as well.
