According to Motoroids’ sources, TVS Motor Company is working on two new cruiser motorcycles.

The design of the Zeppelin leans more on the power cruiser side rather than a traditional laid-back cruiser.

While one of them will reportedly be based on the recently unveiled Zeppelin Concept, the other one will have design lines similar to the Bonneville range from Triumph. The website says both the motorcycles will employ the Zeppelin’s 220 cc single cylinder engine. If the cruisers materialise, they would be ideal competitors to the 2018 Avenger 220 twins, and the newly launched UM Renegade Duty twins.

The TVS Zeppelin concept is the brand’s first attempt at designing a cruiser, and the concept indeed looks head-turning. Another unique aspect of the concept the TVS-patented Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). ISG comes with an e-boost option, which starts the motorcycle faster by giving it an augmented boost. The company claims the bike has a best-in-class fuel efficiency. Additionally, the bike employs a 1200W regenerative assist motor with 48V Li-ION battery for added performance. The Zeppelin features a belt drive to transfer power.

Expect the production to forgo the electrical assist, but may have the ISG unit for easier engine starts. The media site reports that the bike may have upside down front fork, rear monoshock, ABS, and spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, like the concept bike. However, if TVS Motor Company adds these features, it could affect the competitive pricing of the finished product. The bikes will reportedly be ready in its production guise in 2019.
