In a first, TVS Motors has showcased a performance cruiser motorcycle, the TVS Zeppelin Concept at the 2018 India Auto Expo in Noida. Here are the live images of the bike from the show.
The design of the TVS Zeppelin Concept is muscular, and the metal bodywork has neat and modern-looking of brushed-metal accents. It complements the combination of matte-black finish panels and the Rustic Brown tank. The lighting system is all-LED, and the cruiser gets first-in- class smart Bio-key. Other features include electronic speedometer; online connectivity, and an headlamp-integrated HD Action camera to capture the rider’s trip on the go.
The bike has a 220cc single cylinder engine coupling with a unique, TVS patented - Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). ISG comes with an e-boost option, which starts the motorcycle faster by giving it an augmented boost. The company claims the bike has a best-in-class fuel efficiency. Additionally, 1200W regenerative assist motor with 48V Li-ION battery further adds to the performance. The powertrain transfers the power via a belt drive.
The front 41 mm upside down fork has gold finish, and the rear features a monoshock. The motorcycle rides on spoke wheels with tubeless tyres. The petal disc brakes come with dual-channel ABS for optimum handling. As per TVS, the riding position is ‘aggressive yet comfortable’. The lowered handlebars and feet-forward highway pegs ensure a cruiser stance too. Expect TVS to showcase the production model at the 2020 Auto Expo.
