Was showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo 2014.
TVS Draken X21, the concept bike that was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo is now testing in India, reports Power Drift. The Draken X21 is believed to be the base for the next generation TVS Apache.
The Draken X21 concept used a 249.2 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 38.5 bhp power and 23 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle was conceived to enter the hotly contested 250-300 cc segment that currently has the KTM 200 Duke/RC, Ninja 300 and Honda CBR250R.
While the test mule that was spotted reveals very few details, as most of the body work is under wraps, it seems to have a rear disc brake and a sporty raked exhaust. From the seating posture, it quite clearly appears that the motorcycle is a naked machine with an upright riding position.
The Draken X21 concept had a trellis frame and an large tank with integrated shrouds, rear monoshock, short exhaust and upside down front forks. It also had a sharp upward-raked tail, and the tail section on the spied motorcycle resembles the concept's tail to quite an extent.

And while it is quite certain that the final product would not be exactly the same as the concept, the production motorcycle should borrow several design cues from it.
