Reported to launch next month.
A Team-BHP member has acquired images of the Tata Tigor's liftback panel, which features the 'Tigor' badge, Tata Motors logo and the 'XZ' grade level, all finished in chrome. The font used for Tigor is identical to that of the Tiago hatchback.
Production of the Tata Tigor is underway at Tata Motors's plant in Sanand, Gujarat, so expect dispatch of first units to dealerships in early March. The Tigor is Tata's third sub-4m sedan that adopts a lift back rear-end, instead of featuring a conventional boot. It opens up to offer 420 litres of volume.
The engine lineup will include the familiar 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol and 1.05-litre Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engines, both featuring a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, while a 5-speed automated manual transmission could be offered at a later time.

The Tigor is expected to be the least expensive sub-4m sedan in India, offering the practicality of a sedan for the price of a hatchback. It could be one of the products to help Tata append growth in the next fiscal.
The Tigor will compete with the lower variants of the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Figo Aspire and the Hyundai Xcent.
