Will launch in XT and XZ grades.
According to a screenshot capture of an OBD menu acquired by a Team-BHP member, the Tata Tiago AMT will come in two petrol variants: XT and XZ. It is reported to launch this March, although Tata Motors is yet to release an official statement.
The AMT option will be exclusive to the petrol option, which is powered by a 1.2L three cylinder Revotron petrol engine producing 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque. The transmission is likely to be a Magneti Marelli-built 5-speed unit with manual shifting modes. Expect fuel efficiency to be more or less similar to the petrol manual’s 23.84 km/L figure.

It will rival the Maruti Celerio AMT, Hyundai Grand i10 AT and even the less-powerful-but-lighter Renault Kwid 1.0 AMT. The same transmission will also make its way in the Tata Tigor sedan this year which could be the least expensive automatic sedan to launch in the country.
