Expected to arrive in Q3 2016.
Motor Octane has spyshots of the upcoming Tata Nexon, one of which reveals an AMT shifter, thus confirming that an AMT option is in the works for the sub-4m SUV.
The Nexon's engine lineup will include two engines – a 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine and an all-new 1.5-litre diesel engine. The latter is capable of producing 110 PS and 260 Nm, and is paired to a new six-speed manual transmission as standard. Details of the AMT option are scarce at the moment.
The production-Nexon retains most of the design cues from the Tata Nexon Concept that was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. The exterior of the Nexon is characterized by a high stance, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, ceramic side appliqué, LED taillamps and contrast roof. It has 200 mm of ground clearance and rides on 16-inch alloy wheels in the top-end grade.
