Tata Motors has confirmed that the Tata Tiago will launch in the Indian market on April 6, 2016. Bookings for Tata's newest hatchback opened on March 10.
Slotting under the Tata Bolt and above the Tata Nano, the Tiago measures 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,400 mm in wheelbase. Its key external features, under the 'IMPACT' design language, are bug-eyed headlamps, LED turn indicators embedded on the side mirrors, 14-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, wraparound tail lamps and a roof spoiler.
Top-end grades come equipped with a ConnectNext Infotainment system that has been exclusively developed by HARMAN, an 8-speaker audio system with USB and Aux-In support, steering mounted audio controls, ABS, dual front airbags, height adjustable driver-seat, and electrically adjustable wing mirrors.

The Tata Tiago is available with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm and a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq diesel engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm. A five-speed manual is the only transmission option but a Tata Tiago Automatic is in the pipeline.
