Expected to launch during the festive season.
Motorbeam has spotted the Tata Kite 5 compact sedan testing near Pune. Tata's third sub-4m sedan is expected to launch during the festive season.
As seen in spyshots, the front end of the Kite 5 is sourced from the Tiago, while the stubby boot and wraparound taillamps are unique to the Kite 5. It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,450 mm in wheelbase.
Inside, the design is largely identical to that of the Tiago, complete with an 8-speaker Harman audio system with turn-by-turn navigation. The Kite 5 was shown featuring a touchscreen infotainment system in top-end grades, which is not offered in its hatchback sibling. It will also offer a class-leading boot capacity of 420 liters.

Tata will offer two engine options for the Kite 5: an all new 1.2L three cylinder Revotron engine with 83 bhp/114 Nm of torque and 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine producing 69 bhp/140Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual is the only confirmed gearbox for the Kite 5, while an AMT option is also in the cards.
