Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.
Expected to launch in the festive season.
The Kite 5 (codename) made its debut in near-production form at the Auto Expo 2016. It is the third sub-4m sedan from Tata Motors that will slot under their second sub-4m sedan – the Tata Zest.
It measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,450 mm in wheelbase. The interior will also be similar to that of the Tiago, complete with an 8-speaker Harman audio system and turn-by-turn navigation. It will have a class-leading boot capacity of 420 liters.
The Kite 5’s engine lineup will comprise of the all new 1.2L three cylinder Revotron engine with 83 bhp/114 Nm of torque and 1.05L Revotorq diesel engine producing 69 bhp/140Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox, while an AMT variant is also in the offing.
