Based on patent sketches which were leaked last week.
The Suzuki GSX R250 was recently revealed through patent images. Now, Rushlane has published a speculative rendering of the Suzuki Gixxer 250 featuring cues borrowed from the currently sold Suzuki Gixxer model and the patent images.
Its possible the production version was already seen in undisguised spyshots captured at the company’s Haojue Changzhou factory in China in December last year. The same month, it was reported that Suzuki will unveil the new quarter-litre motorcycle at Auto Expo 2016 in February, however that was not the case.
The Suzuki GSX R250 is expected to be powered by the 248 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine employed in the Suzuki Inazuma 250. The Suzuki Inazuma 250's iteration of this engine makes 18 kW (24 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 22 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, and sends drive via a 6-speed transmission.

The Suzuki GSX R250 could be launched in international markets later this year, but its Indian launch timeline hasn't been confirmed yet. Earlier this year, Mr. Suresh Babu Janarthan, Project Leader for CBU Products at Suzuki Motorcycle India, reportedly said that the company will launch such a product in India "when the time is right". Its close rival, the Honda CBR250RR is also a no-go as of now.
